Most damage available from a merc?

I don't have much to say in this thread - more looking for suggestions as I have no idea currently.

Has anybody tried Windforce on an A1 merc?

Other ideas?

I gave a (name?) lightning sword proc thing to an A3 merc, and it didn't really proc enough, so that's not a contender.

First time posting, I feel like I should either be ashamed or get a prize, or be ashamed of the prize that I get.

your best bet (at least it used to be) would be a ctc weapon like frostmourne, el'druin with a5 barb. at new ladder/patch mercs gonna get huge love so it'll change a bit.

oh and lightning sword (thunderfury) can't proc with spellcast of a3 mercs. a5 ftw

Due to how high character dps scales in this game now, and how much -res is important mercs can't really do damage.

Your better of getting your merc stacked with aura gear & survivability. Not sure how they'll look in next patch though.

oh a5 merc can kill things. they just cant live vs bosses/end game content. merc amulets hopefully will change that.
