SotR Beta August 31st Changelog:
General:
• Assassin Skill Trees have been revamped! Full details found under the Assassin class section.
• Summon skills / Minions have been revamped! Minions no longer start with Physical / Elemental Resistances, or gain any per skill level. Instead, they will now copy their summoner's Resistances, +% Max Resists, and Defense. However, resistance penalties for difficulties are not applied. Because of the resistance removal, most summon skills have received some form of buffs per skill level, such as a damage increase and/or life increase. Lesser minions such as Skeletons / Wolves / Ravens now also take 75% less damage from missiles and area of effect damage.
• Bleed ailment's overlay is now more noticeable.
Classes:
Amazon
• Valkyrie base weapon damage and weapon damage per level has been greatly increased. Base life and life per level has also been increased. Now also copies your combat speeds (Attack Speed, Cast Speed, Run Speed, Hit Recovery.)
• Doppelganger base weapon damage and weapon damage per level has been greatly increased. Now also copies your combat speeds (Attack Speed, Cast Speed, Run Speed, Hit Recovery.)
Assassin
• Blade Fury is now a level 5 skill, and damage per level has been increased.
• Blade Sentinel is now a level 20 skill. Blade Sentinel has been reworked and will now follow you and patrol the nearby area on its own, cutting up any enemies who wander in your path. Sentinels will not follow you if you teleport or warp to another level.
• Blade Shield's base damage and damage per level has been increased. Missile range has also been increased, and Blade Shield is now considered a "Ranged" skill.
• Shuriken Ring's base damage and damage per level has been increased.
• Firebomb's damage per level has been increased.
• Wake of Fire's damage per level has been increased at level 20+.
• Wake of Bombardment has been replaced with Fire Sentinel. Fire Sentinel will follow you and patrol the nearby area on its own, throwing 3 of your Firebombs at enemies from long range. Sentinels will not follow you if you teleport or warp to another level.
• Shock Web's damage per level has been increased at later levels.
• Charged Bolt Sentry's damage per level has been increased at later levels.
• Lightning Sentry's damage per level has been increased at later levels, and base missile range has been increased.
• Death Sentry has been replaced with Death Sentinel. Death Sentinel will follow you and patrol the nearby area on its own, throwing 5 of your Shock Web spikes at enemies and occasionally exploding corpses for heavy lightning damage. Sentinels will not follow you if you teleport or warp to another level.
• All Charge-up abilities no longer grant additional charges when empowered.
• All Charge-up abilities have had their charge duration increased to 15 seconds, and base empowered duration increased to 10.4 seconds.
• All Charge-up abilities now release their area of effect missiles on each attack, instead of releasing them only while empowered. The area of effect range increases with each charge. No longer releases their area of effect missiles on all melee attacks when empowered, instead becoming empowered will release a new additional area of effect attack and grants other bonuses temporarily. More information will be below.
• Tiger Strike charges no longer grant +% Physical Damage, but instead grants both +% Physical Damage and Run Speed when you are empowered. Base damage and damage per level has been increased, along with the flat physical damage added with each charge.
• Fists of Fire charges no longer grant Increased Area of Effect, however, a higher amount of Area of Effect is granted when you are empowered. Base damage and damage per level has been increased, along with the flat fire damage added with each charge.
• Claws of Thunder charges no longer grant Attack Speed, however, a higher amount of Attack Speed is granted when you are empowered. Base damage and damage per level has been increased, along with the flat lightning damage added with each charge.
• Cobra Strike's submissiles now carry weapon damage. Charges no longer grant Increased Ailment Chance, but instead grants both Increased Ailment Chance and Reduced Ailment Duration on yourself when you are empowered. Base damage and damage per level has been increased, along with the +% Poison Damage added with each charge.
• Dragon Talon's damage per level has been increased at later levels. Now also releases a cone of physical energy if you are empowered by Tiger Strike.
• Dragon Claw's base damage and damage per level has been increased. Now also triggers an additional explosion when cleaving enemies that are Burned if you are empowered by Fists of Fire.
• Dragon Strike's base damage and damage per level has been greatly increased. Weapon Damage % has been increased to 50% for the electrified area. Now also increases all damage taken for enemies inside the electrified area if you are empowered by Claws of Thunder. Cooldown has been increased to 5 seconds.
• Dragon Flight has been reworked. It is once again a physical damage attack that is guaranteed to deal a critical strike and will also spawn tornadoes in the nearby area to continuously beat down enemies. Tornado area radius is increased for each active charge, and Tornado duration is increased for each active empowerment you have. Cooldown has been decreased to 15 seconds.
• Combo Mastery's base Increased Damage per Charge has been increased, and grants an additional 1% Damage every 2 base points instead of every 4 base points. Now also grants Chance to Dodge Attacks/Spells based on active charges. A buff icon has also been added for easy tracking of total charges.
• Mind Blast's base damage and damage per level has been greatly increased.
• Smokescreen's cooldown has been decreased to 20 seconds.
• Venom's base damage has been decreased, and damage at level 20+ has been slightly decreased.
• Shadow Master's base life and life per level has been increased. Now gains +% Increased Damage per skill level, has a higher base weapon damage for weapon-based skills, and also copies your combat speeds (Attack Speed, Cast Speed, Run Speed, Hit Recovery.)
Druid
• Raven's life per level has been increased. Damage per level has been increased at later levels. Ravens now go into a frenzy when attacking a bleeding enemy, greatly increasing their attack speed for 2 seconds while also pelting nearby enemies with feathers. Ravens are no longer considered a flying monster.
• Poison Creeper's life per level has been increased. Damage per level has been increased at later levels, especially at level 20+.
• Dire Wolf's life per level has been increased. Damage per level has been increased at later levels. Attack animation is roughly 30% faster. Now gains Increased Damage against Bleeding Enemies per level, and Increased Damage granted when eating a corpse has been greatly increased. Base cleave range has also been increased.
• Treant's life per level has been increased. Base damage and damage per level has been increased, especially the poison damage from its roots. Life healed every 2 seconds and Splash Heal on Hit has also been increased.
• Grizzly's life per level has been increased. Increased Chance to inflict Bleed has been increased. Damage per level has been increased, and Grizzly's Shock Wave damage has also been increased.
Necromancer
• Clay Golem's life per level has been increased. Damage per level increased at level 20+. Base chance to Sling Mud has been increased, Mud is no longer removed from the target if Clay Burst is proc'd early due to a second Mud, base radius of Clay Burst has been increased, and Clay Burst now deals drastically more damage.
• Skeleton's life per level has been increased. Damage per level has been increased at later levels. Attack animation is roughly 20% faster. Now gains Skeletal Charges for each melee attack, consuming them all on the next melee attack when reaching 3 charges and releasing an explosion of bone.
• Blood Golem's life per level has been increased. Damage per level increased at level 20+. Splash Heal on hit has been increased at level 20+. Now also deals +50% Increased Damage against Bleeding Enemies.
• Skeleton Archer's life per level has been increased. Changed the way their damage scaling works, their damage per level is now originally all weapon damage (physical), and is 100% converted to the element of their attack. Because of this, you can scale them equally with +% Physical or +% Elemental. Attack animation is roughly 20% faster.
• Iron Golem has been revamped. It is no longer specifically targeted by enemies, but will still get hit by missiles / AoE, similar to lesser minions such as Skeletons. Iron Golem will now break down instead of dying upon taking lethal damage, becoming stunned but invulnerable for 10 seconds while repairing itself over time. Can now always be summoned alongside another type of Golem, and now has an increased chance to inflict ailments. Life and damage per level have also been increased.
• Fire Golem's life per level has been increased. Damage per level has been increased for all sources of Fire Golem's damage. Fire Golem's periodic fire damage will now have its radius increased with +% Increased Area of Effect, and the Fire Golem now gains attack speed based on skill level.
• Skeleton Lich's life per level has been increased. Elemental Damage per level has been increased. Now gains 100% (up from 50%) of your own Bone Spirit / Poison Nova's skill level in addition to its own skill levels. Skeleton Lich's Bone Spirit now properly releases 3 missiles instead of 1.
Sorceress
• Static Discharge now does 200% of Lightning's Damage.
• Fire Wall's base damage and damage per level has been slightly decreased.
Items:
• Various unique items that cast a skill every X amount of seconds can no longer be spammed by re-equipping the item. (Azmodan's Shell, Wisdom's End, etc.)
Monsters:
• Tyrael has a new model! (Credit to Namusan @ Phrozen Keep Discord.) Tyrael will no longer use charge, and instead will use Consecration. Due to Consecration healing him, his total damage reduction has been decreased.
• Various monsters will no longer attempt to use Blood Hunt, as Blood Hunt now only works in synergy with Taste of Blood.
• Crucible monsters are no longer considered flying monsters, and cannot fly over unwalkable terrain.
Bugs:
• You can no longer use an Umbral Rift Energy to downgrade a Rare item to a Magic item that has 2 prefixes or suffixes.
• Fixed an issue preventing reanimate from working.
• +% Increased Chance to inflict Bleed now properly increases bleed chance.
• Pets now properly copy your Increased Chance to inflict Bleed stat.
• Potentially fixed some crashes caused by Mechanized Destroyer / Stitches.
• Potentially fixed some other crashes that could happen in The Crucible.
