Inventory Space suggestion

On another server I played on there was a charm system where you would play through the game and find blank charms from act bosses. You could augment these charms with whatever stats you wanted, and each charm had a "budget" similar to how enchants work here. Instead of magic charms dropping charm components would drop.
The goal of this is to keep character power levels the same but allow players to actually have space in their inventory.
Some example stats from charm components:
Skillers for each class
Enhanced damage / elemental damage
FCR / FHR / FRW / IAS
Resists
life / mana
magic find
etc.
Pretty much anything you could find on a regular charm had a charm component that would add the same thing. A lot of these components had ranges they could roll so making perfect charms could take awhile.
