    5.0b Patch Notes

    Annihilus 5.0b Changelog:


    General Changes:


    • The Damage cap has been massively increased! The Damage cap was 87k per frame before, it is now 8.3 million. This should be impossible to hit. There may be very rare cases where it still caps, but you shouldn't ever run into any of these.


    • Runewords can now be made in Magic (blue) items! You can cube a non-socketed blue item with 3 divine gems to make it roll a random amount of sockets once.


    • 2 new Rifts have opened on the Bridge below Travincal! Travel to a different World and fight strong opponents
    who have some new items for you.

    • Neo Annihilus can finally unleash its true potential! Hunt the different Orbs of Potential throughout the game, varying from Act Bosses all the way to The Crucible.


    • Massive Class Balance changes. Be sure to read the Class Changes section thoroughly!


    • Most Poison skills have been changed, and now deal higher damage over a shorter amount of time as they became very weak after the Monster health change in 5.0.


    • Several issues / bugs have been resolved. Please check the Misc Changes section thoroughly!



    Class Changes:


    Amazon

    • Fend damage per level has been increased.


    • Lightning Fury Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Charged Strike Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Lightning Bolt Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Lightning Strike Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Lightning Arc Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Plague Javelin Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased, and no longer has a cooldown.


    • Poison Javelin Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased, and no longer has a cooldown.


    • Guided Arrow Synergy % slightly decreased, Damage % per Level has been decreased.


    • Multiple Shot Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Valkyrie Health per Level and Health Synergy % increased.


    • Valkyrie now gains 100% of the Amazon's Enhanced Damage.


    • Exploding Arrow Damage per Level and Synergy % slightly increased.


    • Freezing Arrow Damage per Level and Synergy % slightly increased.



    Assassin

    • Dragon Strike can now be used from range, without a target selected, and used with any weapon.


    • Dragon Strike now gains flat Damage per Level, and has increased Lightning Damage per Level.


    • Dragon Claw now gains flat Damage per Level.


    • Twin Fang Strike Damage per Level drastically increased for both Poison and Fire, increased Synergy %.


    • Ambush can now be used with any weapon.


    • Shuriken Flip now also deals high Poison Damage, and leaves a poison trail in its wake.


    • Flurry Kick Damage slightly increased.



    Barbarian

    • War Cry Damage per Level and Synergy % has been decreased.


    • Frenzy now gains flat Damage per Level.


    • Berserk Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Seismic Leap Synergy % has been increased.



    Druid

    • Fissure Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Volcano Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Armageddon Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Molten Boulder Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Fixed an issue with Molten Boulder's Fire Damage per second was not calculating Synergy %.


    • Tornado Synergy % has been increased.


    • Rabies Damage per Level slightly increased, Synergy % slightly increased, and duration lowered.


    • Pounce Damage per Level and Synergy % decreased.


    • Werewolf Form now also gives Enhanced Damage similar to Bear Form, but not as much.


    • Summoning Tree has received a minor rework, I will go into details here!


    • All summons receive a portion of the Druid's Enhanced Damage (this includes damage gained from Shapeshift forms). Ravens receive 20% of ED, Spirit Wolf 25%, Dire Wolf 50%, and Grizzly Bear 100%.


    • Raven Damage per Level has been drastically increased, Synergy % has been increased, and now has Oak Sage as a Synergy. Now benefits from Druid's Physical Pierce and Attack Rate, similar to Wolves and Grizzly. No longer gains Crushing Blow.


    • Grizzly Bear now gains 2% Crushing Blow per base Level, up from 1%.


    • Murder of Crows Damage per Level drastically increased. Now can hit every 2 frames instead of every 4 frames. Life Per Hit is no longer increased with synergies.



    Necromancer

    • Raise Skeletal Archer has been replaced with Raise Zombie. Zombies have very high damage and attack rate, and gain 50% of the Necromancer's Enhanced Damage. This includes the damage gained from Skeletal Lich Form.


    • Raise Skeleton now gains 25% of Necromancer's Enhanced damage. This includes the damage gained from Skeletal Lich Form. Now gains less Life per Level, now has a shield 100% of the time instead of 50%.


    • Skeletal Burst has been re-coded. It is now much smoother and accurate, and hits reliably.


    • Revive has had its Health Synergy % lowered, as monsters hit life cap almost always.


    • Decrepify now gains Range per Level.


    • Poison Nova Damage per Level and Synergy % increased.


    • Poison Maelstrom Damage per Level and Synergy % increased, duration that damage is spread across is lowered.


    • Bone Spear Synergy % has been decreased.


    • Bone Spirit Synergy % has been decreased.



    Paladin

    • Sacrifice Damage to Self has been lowered, now gains a good amount of flat Damage per Level.


    • Fixed a nasty bug where Vengeance was not benefiting from its Magic Damage Synergy at all.


    • Vengeance Damage per Level has been increased.



    Sorceress

    • Ice Blast Synergy % has been increased.


    • Glacial Spike Synergy % has been increased.


    • Blizzard Synergy % has been increased.


    • Frozen Orb Synergy % has been increased.


    • Cold Mastery now grants 4% Extra Cold Damage and 3% Cold Pierce per Level, instead of just giving Pierce.


    • Lightning Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased. Now uses FCR breakpoints.


    • Chain Lightning Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased. Charged Bolt synergy replaced with Thunder Storm, and now uses FCR breakpoints.


    • Nova Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased. Now has a 20% chance to knockback enemies. Mana cost reduced.


    • Thunder Storm Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Pyroblast Synergy % has been decreased.


    • Flamestrike Synergy % has been decreased.



    Item Changes:


    • You can now cube 3x Infernal Pearls to re-roll 1 new one.


    • All Resists / Life Infernal Pearls have been buffed to properly match the buffs to small charms last patch.


    • World Drop Puzzle drop rate has been doubled.


    • A new unique Matriarchal Javelin has been added. It is a rare drop that can drop anywhere that is ilvl 87 or higher.


    • Full Moon has been buffed. You may cube it once for a free re-roll, you will retain what is in sockets but LOSE enchants, sorry!


    • The Deadly Sin has been buffed. You may cube it once for a free re-roll, you will retain what is in sockets but LOSE enchants, sorry!


    • Divine Retribution has been buffed. No reroll here unfortunately, sorry!


    • Oblivion now gives negative lifesteal, and the flat Damage scaling has been increased. You do not need to re-roll this item, all existing Oblivion will be affected. For some reason it sometimes takes the negative lifesteal a minute or so after starting combat to kick in, but then it is fine for the rest of the game!


    • All helmets can now roll Enhanced Damage %.


    • Circlets can now roll Physical Pierce.


    • Scroll of Town Portal can now be bought from Akara for free.


    • Full Rejuvenation Potions can now be bought at the Gold Vendor for 1 Gold.


    • Gold no longer shows up on the ground, as it is useless.


    • The items required for Immune to Curses enchant has once again been changed, but definitely works now!


    • Magic and Rare Claws can now roll Poison Damage / Pierce prefix.


    • Several Runewords have been nerfed to accommodate the changes that allows them to be made in Magic items to prevent possible overpowered items. Some of these Runewords that have been nerfed include Enigma, Fortitude, Deadeye, and most Weapon Runewords with high Enhanced Damage %.


    • Multiple Runewords have been modified or buffed, these include: Famine, Kingslayer, Destruction, Last Wish



    Misc Changes:


    • Potentially fixed several crashes, mostly found in random levels of The Crucible, but other areas as well such as Omega Baal and Reziarfg. Please PM me any screenshots of errors if you run into anymore, along with what you were doing at the time! The more details the better.


    • Potentially fixed an issue causing people to suddenly get "Connection Interrupted" even though games do not drop.


    • Infernal Nihlathak is no longer invincible.


    • Malthael can no longer teleport behind his Fireplace and get stuck.


    • Omega Andariel can no longer teleport behind her wall and get stuck.


    • Monsters should no longer spawn in unreachable areas in the Omega Mephisto map in The Crucible.


    • Uldyssian can no longer teleport off of the map.


    • Queen of Pain should no longer be impossible to hit in certain situations.


    • Fixed an issue causing K'nar'st to not drop his Ribcage unique.


    • Fixed an issue preventing Magic Damage / Pierce Enchants from working.


    • Density of Level 7 and Level 10 Crucible increased.




    UPDATE AFTER 6:30 AM EST:

    • Increased the War Cry Synergy % back a little, it seems the nerf may have been a tad too much.


    • Cold Mastery now gives 4% Cold Damage per Level / Pierce instead of 3%.


    • Ice Blast / Glacial Spike / Blizzard / Frozen Orb now gain more Damage per Level.


    • Lowered the Damage Synergy % given from Summon Grizzly to Druid pets.


    • Murder of Crows now grants an extra Raven every 4 levels instead of every 2.


    • Ravens now only gain 10% of the Druid's Enhanced Damage.


    • Fixed an issue causing Skeletal Burst to not hit as much.


    • Necromancer Skeletons and Zombies now benefit from the Necromancer's Physical Pierce.


    • Zombies now gain Deadly Strike from Skeletal Power as they now get Pierce directly from the Necromancer.


    • Shadow Warrior and Shadow Master now gain 100% of their Assassin's Enhanced Damage.


    • Fixed another potential crash at Reziarfg.


    • FF8 Bosses have had their exclusive item drop rate lowered, but previously this caused most of their items to be blues or yellows. There will be more uniques now.


    • I have decided to remove puzzle boxes from Infernal Chests, I am not sure this was a good idea to implement after thinking about it. Sorry for the confusion, I may re-visit this in 5.1.




    4/24 Evening Hotfix:

    • Necromancer Skeletons / Zombies now once again gain 100% of the Necromancer's Physical Pierce, but their damage bonus from Skeleton Mastery has been lowered.

    • Fixed an issue allowing Bahamut to destroy Crucible Orbs through the shield.

    • Further increased the drop rate of world drop puzzles.

    • Changed the FF8 boss loot table to include more than just magic items.

    • Ravens now only gain 50% of the Druid's Physical Pierce.

    • Damage Cap Increase was removed earlier this morning to see if it helped with the crashing, it wasn't related it seems, so the Damage Cap Increase is back on. If you were suddenly capping again with War Cry, you should be fine now! This isn't the full "fix" so some skills are still capping, in 5.1 this should hopefully be fixed.

    • Potential fix for the crashes happening very often. There may still be an occasional crash, but hopefully not nearly as bad as it has been the last couple of days.

    dropping when i get near new rift also killed oth in DL and as soon as he died i dropped rejoined the game where oth died and when i got close to his body dropped again

    Zerk numbers don't seem to have gone up at all. (It's feels a little weak atm, it does less damage than if I swapped to war cry even though I have 19 more skills in zerk than cry) which is quite disapointing, did the buff to zerk defiently go in?

    Considering if I swapped to cry and had gear of the same level as my zerk is I would likely output near twice the damage my zerk is currently doing.

    Upon further testing, if i'm in WC build with 0 points in zerk or it's synergies (I have a lv 49 zerk purely from items) Zerk kills only about 30% slower.

    So, a no synergies 1 point zerk is only 30% slower than a maxed out + synergies zerk... Eh..
