Nah, the fear of corrupting is meant to be that negative effect and the immense randomness of the stat. Something like this would pretty much remove that fear, I want to be terrified when I try to corrupt a reapers, not just "eh, worst case scenario I can just remove it". Or be able to near spam corrupt a mega-rare item until I get a gucci roll.

ive screwed over more items with corrupts than i have gotten a decent stat. so im not really corrupting anything because im not trying to be stuck without a wep or some shiz. like i can see if these orbs are super rare so you cant just spam it until you get the perfect stats and also haveing the 25% chance would probably even it out while still having that fear of corruption

I agree with Fitsu. The way they work as of now is perfectly fine, and honestly keeps you grinding for that perfect item/corruption.
