    6.1 Patch Notes

    Here is our follow up to the very large 6.0 Update. This update will address balancing, bugs, and all around quality of life fixes for the game content. This patch is expected to be released by Friday evening EST, but could potentially come out a little sooner.


    Congratulations to @DacFarren (Gothix / Stench Trench) for being the first Level 99! Per his request I have added the exclusive Purple Flames effect for him. This will be on the Gold Vendor for everyone next ladder season.



    Annihilus 6.1 Changelog:


    Feature / Content Changes:

    • You no longer create a corpse when you die, you will respawn with your gear on. We have also fixed an issue causing you to spawn as a "ghost" every so often, preventing you from respawning while running around dead.


    • The Physical Resist bonus you get from Defense has had its ratio drastically buffed. Defense will be a very powerful stat now. Skills that grant Defense have been slightly nerfed because of this, more details in the Class Changes.


    • Flat elemental damage on missile attacks now benefit from +% Elemental Damage. This has been a massive bug found even in vanilla Diablo 2. For example, if you have 4000 Lightning Damage on a bow (Zephyr) it would not be increased by +% Extra Lightning Damage. This has been fixed!


    • Monsters now show on the minimap. This can be disabled in the Extra Options menu.


    • Monster Level is now displayed next to the Monster's name.


    • The general level of the monsters in an area is now displayed in the top right corner.


    • Unique and Set items on the ground will now be displayed on the minimap as brown / green dot.


    • The Map System has been updated. The follow changes have been made:
    - Entrance Portals will no longer spawn in a "room" with monsters in it, and the room it spawns it is now completely random.
    - Map Boss spawnpoint is now completely random, and will spawn in a room with no other monsters around.
    - When the owner of a Map creates a town portal inside, it will bring the entrance portal to their location.
    - Dying inside of a map will now spawn you inside the Mysterious Cellar instead of Harrogath.
    - Density has been slightly modified across most maps.
    - Map Bosses have had their drop rates modified, and overall has been buffed.
    - Map Bosses now properly drop the correct Orbs of Potential. Tier 1-2 drop Lesser Orbs, Tier 3 drops normal Orbs, Tier 4 drops Greater Orbs, and Tier 5 drops Elder Orbs.
    - Tier 5 Map Bosses now have a 100% drop rate on a random Infernal Chest.
    - Worldstone Map monster difficulty has been lowered.


    • Nephalem Trials has been updated. The following changes have been made:
    - Dying inside of a Trial will now respawn you inside of the Nephalem Trials portal area instead of Harrogath.
    - You can now teleport in the Realm of Sin Trial.
    - Realm of Madness monsters have had their skill damage adjusted, D'endrrah now uses Fist of the Heavens instead of Vengeance.
    - All Trial Bosses have had their healing lowered.
    - Lowered the effectiveness of leech against Trial Bosses.
    - Multiple Trial Bosses have had their difficulty modified, some of their Skill damage lowered.
    - Azmodan will now only have 2 Demon Portals and spawn no more. Minions of Sin now use normal attacks instead of Smite. Sin Pool is on a timer, and his Meteor indicator is now green so it is easier to see.
    - Belial's AI has been reworked.
    - Fixed a bug allowing players to use Town Portal inside of Malthael's trial.


    • The Crucible has been polished up. Many issues such as portals opening before the level is completely cleared, or not opening at all, has been fixed. Objects such as Shrines no longer spawn.


    • Fixed an issue causing random crashes in the Worldstone event. Most crashes *SHOULD* be fixed now, there may still be a random crash here and there but I could not reproduce them.


    • The Time Rift in River of Flame is no longer random, and will always spawn north of the waypoint.


    • The PvP damage reduction we added in 6.0 has been greatly lowered to only be 25% effective if the attacker is below Level 31.


    • Halloween has left Sanctuary. You can still open any Trick or Treat bags you kept. See you next year!




    Class Changes:


    Amazon

    • Exploding Arrow / Fire Arrow now have an additional synergy, Exploding Arrow synergy decreased by 1%.


    • Freezing Arrow / Cold Arrow now have an additional synergy, Freezing Arrow synergy increased by 1%.


    • Guided Arrow can no longer pierce enemies and keep hitting them, but Damage Synergy % and Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Strafe Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Poison / Plague Javelin range has been increased.


    • Impale Damage Synergy % increased.


    • All Lightning abilities no longer have a minimum damage of 1.


    • Decoy can now be casted while shapeshifted.



    Assassin

    • Fade now gives Physical Resist again, every 1% every 2 levels, up to 10% max.


    • Claw Mastery now grants Life per Hit.


    • Flurry Kick Damage per level has been increased.


    • Ambush now gives a massive amount of Life per Hit.


    • Lightning Traps no longer have a minimum damage of 1, and all 3 have had their Damage per Level increased.


    • Venom can now be casted while shapeshifted.


    • Blade Shield duration per level increased.


    • Shuriken Flip's Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased. Duration has also been lowered, increasing its DPS. Shuriken Flip can now hit every 2 frames instead of every 4.


    • Fixed an issue allow Abyss Blink to shotgun on the second wave of missiles.



    Barbarian

    • Iron Skin Defense per Level lowered to balance around new defense ratio buff.


    • Shout Defense per Level lowered to balance around new defense ratio buff.


    • Howl has been reworked. Now deals minor physical damage, briefly stuns, and heals the Barbarian based on damage dealt.


    • Battle Cry can now be used while shapeshifted.


    • War Cry's Shout synergy has been replaced with Howl.


    • Shield Throw now costs less mana, number of bounces scales with skill level, up to 15 maximum bounces. Berserk removed as a synergy, but Damage Synergy % has been increased. Damage per level at later levels increased.


    • Seismic Leap damage per level lowered at earlier levels, greatly increased at later levels. Can now hit bigger targets multiple times a bit easier.



    Druid

    • Raven Damage Synergy lowered by half, Ravens now have a flat 30 attacks.


    • Murder of Crows Damage Synergy % has been increased, delay between hits on same target has been lowered allowing it to hit more often, so large targets can get hit multiple times. Now has a new Synergy in Carrion Vine.


    • Oak Sage max hp % aura per level lowered, but resists have been increased.


    • Spirit of Wolverine resists have been increased.


    • Spirit of Barbs Physical Resist per level lowered, but resists have been increased.


    • Flat Resists of Wolves and Grizzly have been increased.


    • Damage Synergy % for Wolves from Summon Grizzly has been increased to 25%.


    • Lycanthropy max Life per Level lowered to 2% from 4%


    • Werewolf / Werebear now gives 3% max Life per Level.


    • Pounce can no longer hit the same target multiple times with 1 cast. Can now be used on left click, Damage per Level lowered, but Damage Synergy % has been increased.


    • Feral Rage Physical Resist bonus has been lowered.


    • Rabies has a new Damage Synergy in Plague Poppy, slow to enemies has been lowered.


    • Fury now gains flat Damage per level, Damage Synergy % has been increased.


    • Shockwave's hitbox size has been increased, and should hit a little easier.


    • All worm summons are invulnerable like ravens, and have been buffed.


    • Plague Poppy now has a Damage Synergy in Rabies, and now properly benefits from extra poison damage / pierce.


    • Carrion Vine heal has been increased.


    • Elemental skills are now strictly cold or fire, no more physical damage. This will make gearing much easier.


    • Cyclone Armor synergies has been increased.


    • Tornado and Twister speed and range increased, and now hits much more frequently.


    • Most Elemental Skills have had their Damage per Level increased and/or Damage Synergy % increased.


    • Hurricane now gives 2% cold pierce per skill level (doesnt have to be hard points anymore), but caps at 40.


    • Armageddon now gives 2% fire damage per skill level (doesnt have to be hard points anymore), but caps at 40.


    • Molten Boulder's Damage over Time is now properly affected by +% Fire Damage.


    • Volcano now hits slightly more frequently.



    Necromancer

    • Revive HP% per Level lowered. Mana cost has been lowered but now scales with skill level.


    • All Golem mana costs has been lowered.


    • Raise Skeleton now gets 1% Physical Resist per 2 Skeletal Power instead of 1, and it now caps at 50%.


    • Raise Zombie has been replaced with Raise Skeleton Archer. Skeleton Archers do not require a corpse, and uses Multiple Shot which gets stronger with their skill level.


    • Raise Skeleton and Skeleton Archer pet limit now scales with skill level. They start off at 2 skeletons each, and gain +2 for every 5 levels, capping at 10.


    • Summon Mastery now gives less resists to summons.


    • Teeth Damage per Level drastically increased.


    • Bone Spear Damage per Level and Damage Synergy % increased, hitbox size increased slightly so it is easier to shotgun spears.


    • Bone Spirit Damage per Level slightly increased.


    • Poison Dagger now scales with attack speed and duration is lowered, increasing its DPS.


    • Poison Explosion Damage per Level and Synergy % has been increased.


    • Poison Nova Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Poison Maelstrom Damage per Level has been increased and duration is lowered, increasing its DPS.



    Paladin

    • Defiance Defense per Level lowered to balance around new defense ratio buff.


    • Sacrifice Damage Synergy % and Damage per level increased.


    • Zeal now gains flat Damage per level, also has a new synergy in Fanaticism.


    • Smite's flat Damage per Level has been moved to Holy Shield, and will scale with +skills to Holy Shield. Synergies and Damage per Level modified to balance the skill, but it now does damage.


    • Holy Shield Defense per Level lowered to balance around new defense ratio buff.


    • Blessed Hammer buff to Concentration influence has been reverted. This skill is very strong without the 6.0 buff.


    • Vengeance has been reworked. It now REALLY does lightning damage along with the Magic Damage. Also procs weapon damage on all missile hits (cannot hit the same target more than 3 times), so it procs Chance to cast % mods and leech. Vengeance counts as a "lightning" skill rather than a magic skill. This has always been the case, but it is now documented in the tooltip.


    • Fist of the Heavens now uses cast animation instead of attack animation, so it will need FCR. Its direct Damage per Level and Holy Lightning Damage per Level has been decreased as it has been performing way too strong. However, Holy Lightning now properly benefits from +% to Lightning Damage.

    • Searing Light's synergies have been replaced. They are now Blessed Hammer and Vengeance.



    Sorceress

    • Ice Bolt Damage greatly increased, and Damage Synergy % has been increased.


    • Charged Bolt Damage greatly increased, has a new synergy, and Damage Synergy % has been increased.


    • Fire Bolt Damage greatly increased.


    • Fire Ball Damage greatly increased.


    • Inferno Mana cost lowered.


    • Fire Wall Mana cost lowered.


    • Meteor cooldown slightly decreased.


    • Hydra no longer has a cooldown, but is capped at 5 Hydras at a time. Hydras now shoot Fire Balls instead of Fire Bolt. Fire Bolt is no longer a synergy, but Damage Synergy % has been increased.


    • Pyroblast no longer has Fire Bolt as a synergy, but has increased Damage Synergy % and Damage per Level.


    • Flamestrike Damage Synergy % and Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Lightning, Thunder Storm, and Chain Lightning no longer have a minimum damage of 1.




    Item Changes:

    • Multiple items have been added to the Gold Vendor. This includes Scroll of Rune Upgrade, Blank Rune, Basket of Organs, and Bag of Fragments.


    • Orbs and Essences no longer activate in the cube. You now right-click these to activate them, and click the item you want to use them on, as if you were identifying them. This does NOT apply for Orb of Alchemy, it must still be cubed.


    • Token of Trials Gold Cost lowered to 200.


    • Token of Trials now has a small chance to drop as a world drop.


    • Orb of Alchemy Gold Cost lowered.


    • Orb of Transmogrification Gold Cost lowered.


    • Token of Absolution Gold price lowered to 70.


    • Forbidden Charms that are world drops have had their drop rate increased.


    • Map world drop rate increased.


    • Quiver drop rate has been increased.


    • Multiple Essences have been updated to work on Quivers.


    • Orb of Alteration and Orb of Corruption now properly work on all Quivers.


    • Keys of Hate, Terror, and Destruction have had their drop rates increased.


    • Fixed an issue causing Enchantment Scrolls to sometimes not show their name (for real this time, I think.)


    • Health Potions now heal for much more.


    • Crown of the Skeleton King's maximum life % now scales with Defense instead of Physical Resist.


    • Ber Rune's Physical Resist % has been increased back to 8%. This will retroactively affect any Ber Runes you already have.


    • Essence of the Everliving now properly works on Gloves and Boots.


    • Infernal Chest of the Gambler has been added as one of the Infernal Chests that can drop. This chest requires 1 High Rune (Vex+) to open, and will contain 1 Weapon and 1 Armor (Armor means all equipment slots with defense. Boots, Gloves, Belt, Chest Armor, Helmet, and Shield). This chest can contain ANY Weapon and Armor aside from Crucible drops, Event drops (Cthulhu and Omega), and seasonal event drops such as Halloween or Christmas. Trial items are obtainable in this chest.


    • Infernal Chest of Essences no longer requires any High Runes to open.


    • Chaos Runeword will now make the claw indestructible.


    • Pestilence Aura found on certain items now also adds Poison damage to your attacks, instead of just being a damaging aura. This is a drastic buff to the Aura.


    • Corrupted Lightsabre's Lightning Whirlwind was previously damage capping, and will now properly scale with Damage per Level and benefit from +% to Lightning Damage.


    • Deadly Sin's Corpse Rain damage has once again been increased.


    • The Cow Queen's Leathers -% to Enemy Resistances set bonus has been increased by 10%.


    • Windforce has been buffed to give -50% to all Enemy Resistances instead of just Physical. Cubing your existing Windforce will add the missing pierce without rerolling the bow, so you will not lose enchants or corruptions. Minimum / Maximum Damage of Windforce has been increased by 100.


    • Oblivion has been buffed to give -50% to all Enemy Resistances. Cubing your existing Oblivion will add the missing pierce without rerolling the sword, so you will not lose enchants or corruptions. Oblivion's stats that scale based on current health have also been buffed.


    • Many Nephalem Trial items have been reworked or buffed. These buffs will not affect existing items, however we will be offering 1 free reroll on these items if you want the new version. You will lose any enchants or corrupted mods, but you will not lose anything in the sockets. The following items may be cubed ONCE for the free reroll: Corrupted Stormshield, Corrupted Harlequin Crest, Heaven's Champion, Serpent's Deception, Azmodan's Shell, Band of Sin, Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac, and Xephirian Amulet.


    • Excalibur's aura now properly increases damage monsters take by 20%, instead of decreasing the damage they take. Whoops! Excalibur has been slightly modified, you may cube it for a free reroll.


    • Twin Excaliburs and their set bonus have been modified.


    • You can no longer split or merge corrupted Excaliburs.


    • Death Cleaver has been replaced with Meshif's Travelers on Melee Splash enchant, as this was preventing it from working on weapons.



    Monster Changes:

    • Many endgame bosses had a VERY high chance to block along with their high Defense rating. This would cause many melee / physical attacks feel like they barely hit. Their block rate has been drastically lowered, and you should hit much more often.


    • Slow is now only 25% effective against many Endgame Bosses or Act Bosses. These bosses will show up as purple on the minimap.


    • The vast majority of monsters that Teleport when taking damage have had their chance to Teleport removed, but are now slightly tankier. K'nar'st and Deckard Cain still have their Teleports when taking damage.


    • Monsters that used some form of Charge or Pounce that did very high amounts of damage have had their damage drastically reduced.


    • Stygian Dolls Corpse Explosion damage on death has been drastically reduced.


    • Djinns inside of the Icy Cellar have had their Mind Blast damage reduced.


    • Inferno Bovine experience has been slightly lowered, the previous buff was a little too much.


    • Blood Raven in normal has had her loot table specifically modified to often drops low level uniques / sets to help players get started.


    • Council Member's Life and Level in Act 3 normal was mistakenly way too high, this has been fixed. Sorry to all of the new or solo players!


    • Stitches is no longer a valid target for Find Item.


    • You can no longer use Find Item on some of the Map Bosses.


    • Squall in Limit Break phase now deals less damage.


    • Griever now uses Teleport instead of Charge.


    • Bahamut's AI has been reworked. Instead of spamming Mega Flare he has a chance to walk around or Teleport on top of you. Mega Flare now also has a slight delay between damage ticks on the same target, so it is harder to get stunlocked.


    • Azathoth in the Crucible has had his Volcano damage lowered.


    • Uldyssian's Skills now do the correct amount of damage.


    • Ultima Weapon now has a timer on his Teleport ability. Ultima Weapon now has a 1/30 chance to drop a new Forbidden Charm, and a 1/50 chance to drop a new Effect.


    • Omega Weapon has been slightly reworked. There is now a timer on his Teleport ability. The damage of his Megiddo Flame and Omega Sigils have been lowered to give you a chance to live.




    Misc. Changes:

    • Crushing Blow now benefits from Physical Pierce, but now deals 2% current health from a melee attack, and 1% from a ranged attack. This was lowered from 4%/2%, but is overall a massive buff as it previously could not proc on any endgame boss with 100+ base Physical Resist.


    • Portal Shrine has been removed. So long!


    • Shrines no longer count as curses, so they will not be replaced when cursed or if you are immune to curses. They can also now stack, although the same Shrine will not stack.


    • Fixed an issue causing Pounce and Mad Rush to not apply their Open Wounds or Crushing Blow.


    • Modified the walls found in Edea's Orphanage / Crucible Level 17 potentially fixing some strange desync issues.




    D2PK 6.2 Changelog:

    • D2PK has been updated and no longer crashes.


    • D2PK now shows the correct vanilla inventory size.


    • QoL features from Annihilus that will not affect actual gameplay have been implemented into D2PK, such as Damage Counters.

    i never seen the reason but my guess is if its below or 60 you can make fake accs to vote and buy it and since they can toss it away it is abusable.

    am i right?

    if its the problem then 70g is okay

    Ding ding ding! Not being able to sporadically do it and get your Token will really drive many people to not bother, also voting twice fills up the logs more and makes it easier to track people multiaccounting on the forum.
