Different types of items follow different rules when you sell items to vendors.
White Items
White items with sockets in them can be sold for Fractured Rift Energies at the following ratios:
2 Sockets = 1 Fractured Energy
3-4 Sockets = 3 Fractured Energies
5 Sockets = 5 Fractured Energies
6 Sockets = 10 Fractured Energies
Plain white items sell for nothing.
Magic Items
Magic items follow these rules:
Normal Tier Armor / Weapon with 1 Affix = 5x Radiant Particles
Exceptional Tier Armor / Weapon with 1 Affix = 10x Radiant Particles
