Game

Annihilus 4.2 Changelog:

Major Changes:

• Winter has came to Sanctuary! A rift has temporarily opened in the Rogue Encampment allowing you to travel VERY far north :). You may find yourself in someone's home who has seasonal exclusive limited-time items. Merry Christmas!

• Multiple seasonal limited edition effects / skill effects have been added to the Gold Vendor. These will be marked as *LIMITED EDITION* in the name, and these effects will no longer be purchasable after the Christmas Event ends, making them rare collectibles!

• Azmodan, the Lord of Sin is finally ready to make his move and claim Hell for himself following the death of Diablo.

• Paladin Combat Skill Tree has had a slight rework. More notes in the Class section.

Class Changes:

Amazon

• Lightning Arc damage per level and Damage Synergy % increased.

• Javelin throw skills no longer consume quantity from your weapon. Melee attacks will still diminish it though, as it acts as quantity.

Assassin

• Jack of all Trades now also grants flat Attack Rating per skill point.

• Abyss Blink first nova now spawns less missiles, and the missiles now die on hit, so they cannot pierce and hit multiple enemies with the same missile.

• Fixed a bug where the second nova (the explosions) were not hitting at all, and these may now also proc chance to casts.

Druid

• Tornado now hits every 8 frames, instead of every 4. This skill was still just too strong after the previous nerf, we am hoping this brings it more in line with other abilities. We are still keeping a close eye on this, and will adjust it accordingly whether it needs to go further up or back down.

• Increased the Damage Synergy % of every Fire Elemental Skill by atleast 2%.

• Ravens can now benefit from Auras.

• Ravens now only gain extra Crushing Blow % and extra Raven summons with base skill points into Murder of Crows like every other synergy in the game, this was a mistake on my end! I buffed their numbers slightly to make up for this, Summoner Druids will be stronger now while other Druids Ravens will not be quite as impactful.

• Murder of Crows can now be used on left-click.

Necromancer

• Golems now receive much more life from Summon Mastery. Clay Golem was already tanky, and will not be much different.

• Golems now receive 3% DR% per base skill point in Iron Golem.

• Iron Golem now gains 3% per every skill point.

• Increased Synergy % given by all Golem synergies.

• Fire Golem damage drastically increased.

• Fire Golem now gains it's summoner's Extra % Fire Damage and Fire Piercing.

• Fixed an issue with tooltips on Skeletons not properly adding up all Skeletal Power.

Paladin

• The Combat Skill Tree has had a minor rework, several skills have been moved around.

• Vengeance is now a level 30 skill. It is a melee attack that deals Lightning and Magic damage to your target and all enemies around it.

• Fist of the Heavens delay / cooldown is now lowered based on your Strength, lowering by 1 frame per 10 Strength.

• Fist of the Heavens damage per level increased.

• Fist of the Heavens and Blessed Hammer now have an extra synergy in Vengeance, increasing their damage further.

Item Changes:

• The Cow Queen full set bonus has had it's 25% Experience Gained replaced with -40% all resistance piercing.

• Bul-Kathos' full set bonus has been buffed. It now has crushing and deadly blow, and has also had it's other stats increased.

• Several new vanilla uniques have been added! Vanilla means they can drop anywhere in the game as long as the monster's level is high enough. These new uniques share their itemtypes with pre-existing uniques, making them much rarer. Compare it to Templar's Might / Tyrael's Might, the drop chance for these item types are comparable. The following item types have new vanilla uniques: Unearthen Wand, Corona, Balrog Skin, Ogre Gauntlets, Troll Nest, Matriarchal Javelin, Scarabshell Boots, Vampirebone Gloves, and Mithril Coil. Will only drop from monsters level 87 or higher!

• Multiple existing vanilla uniques that already shared an item type have been made a little more rare, and have been buffed to compensate and be comparable to the new uniques. The buffed uniques include: Azurewrath, Stormlash, Schaeffer's Hammer, and The Redeemer. This will not affect existing items.

• Rare item mods have been buffed again! Jewelry can now roll -piercing and extra % damage mods, and just about every itemtype has new mod potential now. While every item can be useful, the jewels and jewelry will likely have the most impact to standard builds.

• Khalim's Hope has been slightly reworked and buffed, because of this everyone who currently has one will receive one free reroll by cubing the weapon by itself.

• Heaven's Fury no longer reduces Fist of the Heavens cooldown, and instead makes Conviction lower Magic Resists.

• Crown of the Skeleton King will no longer spawn with chance to cast Diablo Prison. This will not affect existing helmets.

• Orb of Alchemy and Orb of Transmogrification can now appear in Infernal Chests.

• All endgame monster drop rates such as new bosses and infernal monsters have had their drop rates slightly lowered. This will make the magic find % stat a little more useful, and make the new rares and uniques more valuable.

• All end of Act bosses now have a slightly increased chance to drop their exclusive items such as fragments and essences when you are killing them for the quest.

• Multiple stats have been condensed to clean up item stat clutter. For example if an item has the same amount of pierce for EVERY pierce type, it will say "-X" to All Enemy Resistances". Also if an item has +% Damage to all elements (Fire, Cold, Lightning, Poison, and Magic) it will now say "+X% to All Elemental Damage."

• Guts Throw Skill Effect (Shield Throw) has been added to the Gold Vendor.

Misc. Changes:

• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused players to crash when killing Othuyeg. (Hopefully!)

• You can no longer gain experience in Spectator Mode. Sorry guys! Get out there and participate!

D2PK 6.1 Changelog:

General Changes:

• Wizardspike Gloves have been added to the Armor Vendor. Steelrend has been moved to the Paladin / Barbarian Vendors to make room.

• 08 Shako has been added to the Armor Vendor.

• The LLD Leveler monster is now killable.

• D2PK client will now properly work on multiple language clients.

Wow druids have their damage nerfed by half...seems a bit much compared to a class like assassins that were already stupid strong and just got much stronger with the JOT buff. I would have liked to see other classes that feel weaker get stronger instead.

I will test it and report back but that's just my first opinion after reading the changes.

Other than that, I think having new uniques and new areas will be nice

You can no longer gain experience in Spectator Mode. Sorry guys! Get out there and participate! - wait this must be trolling...just remove the thing from the game already if there is no purpose to it

Can't wait to see how these changes will affect the heven's light/cow set zealer I've been waiting to try. Cow set means lots of str to lower frames for foh, so with added damage from FOH scaling and vengeance synergy, as well as pierce from cow set, this could be fun. Will I have to cube cow set to receive new bonuses?

I dont know why, but the "unread private messages" bar started to lag after the snow appeared. Its trembling occasionally. Havent seen this before. Google chrome, windows.

I've seen it flicker, as well. Same set-up.

It's probably because of the snow effect on the forum, if I had to guess.

I am sorry and I hate to be the negative nancy but there is basically nothing amazing about this patch and it took way too long to be released...and it released extremely lack luster. Glad to see the LLD leveler can finally be killed though.

there is supposedly an items similar to a puzzle box that drops from diablo (either one) that you cube somewhere in a5. Nobody seems to have found it yet though.

After some testing I can confirm that the nerfs to druid were pretty bad - I think lowering it to some extent was fine but now it feels awkward where tornados in close range do not get to deal damage
Maybe you should take a second look at it to see what adjustments are needed

I think buffing weaker classes is the better solution rather than nerfing strong ones to a point where they don't feel playable anymore

I like to find the sweet spot of both :) I used a druid in testing and there wasnt a single piece of content I couldn't easily mow down. I get its fun to breeze through content without having to worry too much about it, but Druid was just too far ahead of EVERYTHING. Hybrid damage in general is just so strong. As I mentioned in the notes we will keep an eye on it and adjust accordingly, but right now I still feel druids are in the top 2.

I mean we know where to find the puzzlebox. And I found where to open it like 30 minutes into 4.2. No one did it yet? :D

I just had the Time Rift Diablo drop absolutely nothing during one of my runs. I'm wondering if that was supposed to be a puzzlebox:/
