Are the drop rates in Hardcore different from Softcore?

I started with hardcore when 5.0 released. Played it religiously through the entire game and even did many MF runs on the way and barely found anything. Played through normal on Softcore recently and I found more gear in one play through than I have so far anywhere near on Hardcore. Are the drop rates different at all?

Pretty sure its the same on Hardcore as it is everywhere else.
