Getting hard FPS drops

It just started happening over this past week. I don't think it would be the server causing the issue, so I'm not sure how to fix it.

My ping fluctuates between 90-200ish every time it happens too. Every few seconds now my FPS will inexplicably drop from around 40 fps to single digit fps, and my screen briefly freezes. This is always accompanied by frame skipping in the 15-20 range.



Any ideas on how to fix this?

When is the last time you did an actual restart on the computer? Not a shutdown, but a restart. Shutting down doesn't fully restart OS processes, a restart can fix a LOT of issues because of this.

Meant to post this yesterday. A simple restart fixed the issue :)


Not sure what went haywire prior to the restart.
