Change the compatibility for Windows 7. Right click on launcher -> properties -> compatibility -> check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for: " and select Windows 7. It worked for me!

Did not work for me. I tried with admin mode too...

Got the same error, also using windows 10.
Switched Compatibility mode to windows 7, as CrazyTrance said but still got the same error.

Right clicked Annihilus Launcher and clicked run as admin, that worked.
