As far as google tells me, its a security dll that checks for malicious actions

Are you using Diablo II.exe and have no other third-party programs running while playing?

The only error I sometimes get is about the Multi-Res and another that I'll troubleshoot as soon as it pops up again

The dll file you mentioned is necessary in some diablo II applications that are modified or required for functionality. The c000000005 error is one you'll have to explain as to what is happening. Don't delete the 86dll

that's a known issue now, the spectating error occurs more when you spectate a character not currently in your location (another act, in a portal, etc.)
