unable to connect to server

just stays connecting @ connecting to fastest server ...........................................

im on campus wifi , seen some weird anomalies here before , what could i do do be able to play :S

firewall seems to be ok.

Interesting, it doesn't seem to be on our end. Usually i don't recommend this, but I would try a VPN.

same problem here ,i followed the steps .. when i click on the annihilius 3.0 tab in the game window .. it keeps showing .. connecting to the fastest server..

pls help me i have'nt played this for 12 years i miss it so much :D

Your issue is very likely a firewall problem. Do you have any anti viruses or firewalls on?

The server issue keeping people from signing in yesterday was quickly fixed, so if you are having issues it has to be on your end. Does your gateway say Annihilus?

yea , i just installe bnet gateway editor.. i set anihilius to chosen gateway , but when i hit detect .. it doesent connect .. and says failed

i have a question .. after i install diablo (from torrent) , i update it directly to 1.13 .. or i have to install first the prepatches ?

I would update it to 1.13 first then install Annihilus over it.

i reinstalled it same problem... this showes when i start launcher .. "connecting to anihilius server failed pls try again later ... now enabling offline launch game button.. , damn

i dont think its on my end cause gateway editor connects to the other gateways succesfully

Can you try a VPN and see if it lets you through?

what is a VPN ? im not familiar with this ..

i just restarted my machine .. i updated the launcher now a different error appears .. " diablo 2 exception .. unhandled acces violotion 000000..etc

Sounds like you need to reboot again. A VPN is just a program that connects you through another network first to mask your IP, if for some reason our host has blocked your specific area that'll get around it. You can google free VPN.

This is curious. I have the same problem: it just hangs on 'Connecting to the fastest server.............'

i have installed vpn ... now in gateway editor the gateway shows connected , but Now the game doesen;t launch its a curse i tell you

hey man can u pls specify what steps in the installation u followed.. maybe i can make this work too.. i have windows 10 , im think maybe there are some compatibility issues..

I solved my issue by installing Hotspot shield program , works fine through that

dling from legit source gives u 1 day trial period and then u can only run it through us servers which gives u some lag if you are euro player .. again i solved this too by downloading a pirated version that lasts till 2018 ^^

Just to be sure, the steps are:
1. Download diablo 2 in english and install it. I recommenf via CD or Battle.net
2. Download Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and install just as you did it with d2 classic
3. when installed the videotest shows up, try around till game works (was a problem on my laptop due to 2 gpu)
4. log into battle.net, any region to start the 1.13d patch download + install
5. close Diablo and go to annihilus.net in your browser. Download and install annihilus.
6. start annihilus launcher and download patches up to 3.0 (actual). You are done when it asked something with your registry. Just klick ok and trust this one.
7. start the game out of the annihilus launcher. If you have trouble doing so, try to use the videotest again (is in your diablo 2 lod folder) and choose glidefx or how its called (special made for annihilus). Or try the others!

You dont need any extra software to get a annihilus gateways to choose in your game...
If then theres still trouble, only a few people can help you.
