Crucible level 2 - invulnerable?

Hi :)
This is my first thread in the forum so I'm not sure if this is the right section for my problem.
Today I tried running crucible on my own with my mavina bowazon. The first level was easy. When I got to level 2, I couldn't inflict any damage to any of the monsters there. I tried different spells (yess, I know they're mostly immune to cold, so I tried with exploding arrows) but there was no change. I tried even with my barbarian but still nope o.O
Help, please? :)

When you cube the key to open next lvl, you obtain a scroll.
Put this scroll in your inv, or u cant damage ennemies.
You must have left the scroll in your cube, therefor, no dmg.

Yes frigide is 100% correct. The scroll acts like a charm, therefore it had to be in your inventory to have any affect.
