I just rushed my brand new sorcerer through Baal on normal. Why cat't she open cows? (On normal diff). Got cube and leg from older char.
Are you making sure that the cube does not contain a Tome of Town Portal? That is no longer required to open cow portals on Annihilus. Neither should it require to beat the game to actually open the portal itself. If this does not correct your problem, please make a bug report and we'll look into it.
