Gold trouble

Hello I'm new here and I'm trying to get started, I see I need to vote for gold so I've done that, but what's the next step? What "action" do I perform at the currency page? Where do I see the code I need? How does gold get sent to my character(s)?

I was so sure I had to buy the gold with the vote points like WoW private servers.....

I hadn't thought to just expect them in-game :O
