    SotR Beta July 22nd Changelog:



    General:

    • The Crucible has been added. The Crucible is a 100 level randomized dungeon with each level being a randomly chosen map filled with randomly chosen monsters. You will face a predetermined boss every 10 levels, and new possible monsters added into the pool every 10 levels. Monster level and difficulty will increase as you advance. The Crucible entrance is found in the southern part of Rogue Encampment and should be considered the extreme endgame.

    - The Crucible is not yet complete, as of now the first 3 bosses are available. You can continue to play up to level 100, however, you will not encounter bosses after level 30.

    - The Crucible will have a lot of exclusive loot in the finalized version, however, in this phase of testing only a few exclusive uniques are enabled.

    - The Crucible has a point system based on how many levels you clear, the size of the maps you clear, and how fast you clear them as each level is timed. Quantity of loot rewarded in the end will be based on your overall score.


    • Ailments have been reworked. There is now a base 5% chance to inflict an ailment, as long as you dealt 1% of the enemy's life with the respective element. You will still gain an additional 1% chance for each 1% of max life damage you deal. We realize that against bosses this may not happen often and will feel bad, so bosses will specifically have a lower threshold. All ailments will scale based on damage dealt now as well.

    - Shocked enemies (and other nearby enemies) will take lightning damage equal to a portion of all damage they receive. The portion percentage is decided based on how much life they lost by the damage that triggered shock. If they lost 10% of their maximum life, then 10% of all damage they take while shocked is dealt to nearby enemies. Shock can stack up to 3 times, and caps at 60% total.

    - Condemn and Chill are still a work in progress and will not currently scale based on damage dealt yet.

    - Burn and Bleed already scaled based on damage dealt.


    • Loot tables with item level 77+ and higher now have a scaling increased chance to drop elite base items.



    Classes:

    Amazon

    • Buckshot's Damage per Level has been increased at later levels.


    • Shattering Arrow is now a Level 10 skill. Weapon Damage has been increased to 100%, and Damage per level has been increased at higher levels. Ice range has also been increased.


    • Barrage Arrow is now a Level 10 skill.


    • Guided Arrow has been reworked. It will now lock onto all targets hit, continuously shooting arrows at every locked on target every half-second. Weapon Damage and Base Damage has been lowered, however, Damage per Level has been increased.


    • Freezing Arrow has been added as a new Level 30 skill.


    • Rain of Arrows has been added as a new Level 30 skill.


    • Jab's Weapon Damage has been increased to 100%, Damage per Level increased, and base range has been slightly increased. Jab now releases a ring of javelins when striking a secondary target that is skewered.


    • Charged strike has been reworked. It will now spawn electricity from your body instead of your target and will leave lingering lightning on the ground instead of moving missiles.


    • Poison Javelin is now a Level 1 skill. Poison Javelin's Damage per level has been increased, Weapon Damage % has been increased to 100%, and submissiles now also carry 25% Weapon Damage. Hitting an enemy infected by Plague Javelin will now release a large cloud of poison that deal's Poison Javelin's submissile damage.


    • Impale's base Damage and Damage per level has been increased.


    • Lightning Bolt's base Damage and Damage per level slightly increased. Lightning Bolt now pierces enemies.


    • Static Strike's base Damage and Damage per level has been increased. Static Strike now also has a new mechanic, lowering the Lightning Resistance of all enemies also marked by Lightning Bolt.


    • Plague Javelin's base Damage and Damage per level has been increased, and submissiles now also carry 20% Weapon Damage.


    • Skewer's Damage per level has been increased, and now applies a skewer debuff to enemies it hits, lowering their movement speed. Skewered enemies who are also impaled will have their physical resistance lowered.


    • Warp Strike's Damage per level has drastically been increased at higher levels, Weapon Damage increased to 150%, and its stun duration now scales with Skill level.


    • Lightning Fury's base Damage and Damage per level has been slightly increased.



    Assassin

    • Fixed an issue preventing Dragon Flight's cooldown from showing in the skill description.



    Druid

    • Taste of Blood has been redesigned. While devouring a corpse still heals and increases run speed, it will now also mark nearby enemies with Blood Scent. Blood Scent increases an enemy's chance to bleed and grants additional effects to Maul and Feral Rage, which will be expanded upon below.


    • Feral Rage and Maul's cleave will now cause secondary targets marked by Blood Scent to hemorrhage a ring of blood when cleaved, dealing additional damage to nearby enemies.


    • Fury's base Damage and Damage per level has been increased, and will now cleave in all directions instead of just a frontal cone if you have 5 or more Feral Rage charges.


    • Shock Wave will now trigger aftershocks when hitting an enemy already affected by Shock Wave if you have 5 or more Maul charges, sending shock waves to other nearby enemies.


    • Blood Hunt has been reworked. It will now track down every target marked by Blood Scent within your line of sight, simultaneously pouncing on top of all of them and releasing a blood nova. Now costs 15% of your maximum mana, this will likely be converted to a Life cost in a future patch.


    • Feral Howl and Rampage have had their cooldowns lowered to 15 seconds, down from 20 seconds. Killing a bleeding enemy now lowers their remaining cooldown by .5 seconds, up from .2 seconds.


    • Firestorm's base Damage and Damage per level has been slightly decreased, but now releases a Molten Boulder every 5 casts in a row. Generates 2 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Cyclone Armor is now a Level 1 skill. The shield regenerates itself every 20 seconds and releases a ring of twisters when broken, dealing cold damage equal to its absorption. Now grants cast speed based on your Maelstrom Energy when casted. It is now also considered a spell and has a percentage mana cost.


    • Twister's Damage per level has been increased at later levels and now hits every 4 frames instead of 6. Generates 2 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Elemental Oath has been added as a Level 5 skill that consumes your Maelstrom Energy to increase your Fire and Cold damage. Gains additional effects based on Maelstrom Energy consumed.


    • Fissure now gains increased damage for each fire skill casted instead of increased radius, and base radius has been increased. Now benefits from +% Increased Area of Effect. Generates 5 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Tornado is now a Level 10 skill, and hits every 6 frames instead of 8. Generates 5 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Eye of the Storm has been added as a Level 20 skill that consumes your Maelstrom Energy to call upon a powerful storm that follows your target. Gains additional effects based on Maelstrom Energy consumed.


    • Volcano now has a 15% maximum mana cost and lowers the fire resistance of all enemies hit by its lava. Generates 10 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Hurricane now has a 15% maximum mana cost. Generates 10 Maelstrom Energy per cast.


    • Armageddon no longer costs mana or has a cooldown. Instead, it now consumes your Maelstrom Energy to unleash a long line of meteors onto your enemies. Also gains additional effects based on Maelstrom Energy consumed.



    Necromancer

    • Bone Spike's Damage per level has been increased at later levels, and base range has been increased.


    • Poison Nova's Damage per level has been increased at level 10+.


    • Bone Spirit now releases 3 spirits and missile speed has been increased.



    Paladin

    • Zeal's Weapon Damage has been increased to 100% and Damage per level has been increased at later levels. Weapon range scaling, base range, and base cone width has also been increased.


    • Smite's Damage per level has been increased at level 20+.


    • Divine Storm's Damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Hammer of Wrath's Damage per level has been increased.


    • Fist of the Heavens's Weapon Damage has been increased to 125% and 75% for submissiles. Damage per level has also been increased at later levels. Base mana cost has been lowered.


    • Vengeance's weapon range scaling and base range has been increased for all forms. Blessed Cold / Lightning forms have also been reworked in how they scale with +% Area of Effect, and will also now be competitive with the Blessed Fire form with how many times they hit. Weapon Damage has been increased to 50% on Blessed Fire form. Damage per Level has been increased at Level 20+, and base mana cost has been lowered.


    • Judgment's Weapon Damage has been increased to 150%. Judgment no longer increases critical strike damage and instead lowers enemies' magic resistance.


    • Infuse Fire, Infuse Cold, and Infuse Lightning's Damage per level has been lowered at later levels.



    Sorceress

    • Fire Wall now scales with +% Increased Area of Effect instead of Missile Speed.


    • Static Field now properly recognizes points in the Lightning skill.



    Items:

    • Doombringer (unique Champion Sword) has been enabled.


    • The Grandfather (unique Colossus Blade) has been enabled.


    • Nightwing's Veil (unique Spired Helm) has been enabled.


    • Andariel's Visage (unique Demonhead) has been enabled.


    • Crown of Ages (unique Corona) has been enabled.


    • Kira's Guardian (unique Tiara) has been enabled.


    • Griffon's Eye (unique Diadem) has been enabled.


    • Templar's Might (unique Sacred Armor) has been enabled.


    • Tyrael's Might (unique Sacred Armor) has been enabled.


    • Steel Carapace (unique Shadow Plate) has been enabled.


    • Ormus' Robes (unique Dusk Shroud) has been enabled.


    • Lycander's Aim has been reworked to take into consideration Guided Arrow's rework.


    • Several affixes have been updated to have their lower tiers removed from the possible affix pool at higher item levels, causing items with higher item levels to be higher quality.



    Monsters:

    • Increased the experience gained from monsters level 50+ and above in Nightmare difficulty.


    • Lowered the damage and life of monsters level 58-63.


    • Willowisps in Riftstones / Rifts now properly deal damage with their Lightning attack.


    • Malthael's life has been increased in Mephisto / Diablo / Baal phases. Damage has also been increased in Baal / Final phases.



    Bugs:

    • Fixed a long-standing issue causing various UI problems and client lag upon initial completion of an act (aka the cinematic transitions.) Thanks Necrolis!


    • Fixed a bug causing games to crash related to uninterruptable skills.


    • Fixed an issue that prevented creation of Runewords that require 6 sockets.


    • Fixed an issue with a red portal in the Tomb of Oddities that prevented warping back to the previous area.


    • Fixed an issue causing the Panther Women monsters (Hunteress, Saber Cat, etc) to go invisible when approaching you.


    • Updated the included glide3x.dll file to address some Glide errors, even when not using Glide.


    • Several cooldown based skills are now properly flagged as "cooldown" skills, now properly proccing items such as Tyrael's Divinity gloves.
