Mercenaries
Anyone desperate enough can put up a fight against the demons, but only the exceptionally strong and brave will follow plundering maniacs such as yourself into the pits of Hell.
To heal a hireling, click and drag a health potion onto your hireling's portrait in the upper left corner of the game screen or press Shift and right-click the potion to instantly give it to him/her. Hirelings are also healed if you talk to a healer in town. Also, in Annihilus Mercenaries can now equip several new item types.

ACT 1: THE SISTERS
The rogues of the Rogue Encampment belong to the Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye and can be hired from Kashya after completing the Sisters' Burial Grounds quest.
- Item types: Bow & Arrow Quiver, Xbow & Bolt Quiver.
- Ice Ranger skills: Ice Quiver, Inner Sight, Shattering Arrow, Killer Instinct.
- Flame Ranger skills: Flame Quiver, Inner Sight, Barrage Arrow, Killer Instinct.
- Physic Ranger skills: Buckshot, Inner Sight, Strafe, Killer Instinct.
ACT 2: THE TOWN GUARD
The Desert Mercenaries hail from the city of Lut Gholein and serve as the town's guards. They can be hired from their captain, Greiz.
- Item types: All types of Spears + Poleaxes and 1H Javelins.
- Combat Guard skills: Prayer, Jab, Skewer.
- Offensive Guard skills: Concentration Aura, Jab, Skewer.
- Defensive Guard skills: Defiance, Jab, Skewer.
ACT 3: THE IRON WOLVES
The Iron Wolves from Kurast are Spellcasters, and the guards of the Kurast Docks. They can be hired from Asheara.
- Item types: 1H Swords, Scepters, Wands, and Daggers.
- Fire Spellcaster skills: Fireball, Enchant, Meteor, Hydra.
- Cold Spellcaster skills: Glacial Spike, Ice Armor, Frost Nova, Blizzard.
- Lightning Spellcaster skills: Charged Bolt, Lightning, Thunderstorm, Time Warp.
ACT 5: THE BARBARIANS
The Barbarians of Harrogath can be hired from Qual-Kehk after completing the Rescue on Mount Arreat quest.
- Item types: 1H / 2H Swords + Axes and 2H Mauls.
- Combat Barbarian: Seismic Slam, Second Wind, Avalanche, Armor Break.
- Warcry Barbarian: Rend, War Cry, Roar, Armor Break.
