    SotR Beta May 1st, 2024 Changelog:


    General:

    • D2GL has finally been implemented! Your current game settings will be reset in the launcher to enable D2GL by default, but you can always change this in Options --> Game Settings in the launcher if you prefer another graphics mode. You can access various D2GL settings under the "Graphics" section in the in-game Esc menu. D2Fps settings have been added to the Graphics section as well.


    • Riftstone entry portals now display the item description / stats of the riftstone when hovering your cursor over them.


    • Absorb no longer protects you from lethal damage at or above 50% absorb.


    • The root "Annihilus" node on the soul grid now shows the totality of all stats provided from the soul grid.


    • Elemental Aegis now only blocks the elemental portion of an attack.


    • Riftstones now have a 20% chance to spawn 1-2 unstable rifts inside of them.


    • Improved the logic for riftstone portal spawning, allowing a more consistent safe space.


    • Skill binds, including quick cast skills, no longer interfere with the targeting of the currently casted skill.


    • Disenchant now only works on equippable items, jewels, and potions. This will prevent users from mistakenly disenchanting runes and runeword patterns.


    • Added "Runeword Pattern" item type to item filters. Also added runeword pattern rarity options to the item filter's rarity command.


    • Runewords can no longer be applied to Warped items.


    • Various stability and optimization improvements.



    Classes:

    Necromancer

    • Bone Spirit's damage per level has been increased at level 20+. Now releases its teeth nova every 9 frames, down from every 13 frames.


    • Bone Spear's damage per level has been increased at level 20+.



    Paladin

    • Zeal's damage per level has been increased at level 20+.



    Items:

    • Gnasher now properly procs Rend upon inflicting Bleed. (Existing Gnashers will have to be rerolled / temporal'd)


    • Bartuc's Cut-Throat now properly procs Rend upon inflicting Bleed. Chance to proc has been lowered to 35%. (Existing Bartuc's will have to be rerolled / temporal'd)


    • Hexfire will now properly benefit from "+% to all resistances" for its unique effect.


    • Bloodletter's tooltip has been updated to remove outdated information. Bloodletter now removes the life reversation off of Whirlwind, and Blood Cyclone now benefits from +% increased area of effect.


    • Serpent's Deception Venomous Lightning proc now properly benefits from +% spell damage. Reanimation chance has been decreased to 5%-10%, down from 10%-20%.


    • Stormshield's Chain Lightning will no longer be considered a Sorceress skill, preventing it from capping it at +3 for Sorceresses. (Existing Stormshields will have to be rerolled / temporal'd)


    • Bahamut's Blue Pulse effect will now work as intended. If you've already found one, you will have to reroll / temporal it.


    • Mang Song's Lesson will now benefit from +% increased area of effect.


    • Shael Rune now gives increased hit recovery when placed in a shield, as block speed is no longer a thing.


    • Runes no longer display an item level on their tooltip, as it is unnecessary information.


    • Temporal and Potent Rift Energies no longer strip runewords that are already on the item.


    • Voided / Umbral Rift Energies will now downgrade an item's quality if there are not enough prefixes and suffixes to be that quality.


    • Ephemeral, Transient and Voided Rift Energies now have a 10% chance to remove ethereal, rather than always removing it.


    • Unidentified items now show their implicit affixes / values.



    Monsters:

    • Coldworm the Burrower's poison damage has been greatly reduced.


    • Arsect the Venomous now gives less experience in all difficulties.



    Areas:

    • Density has been lowered for Crucible level 31+.


    • Level-based Challenge Zone Bosses (level 30, 60, 80 challenges) now drop a higher quantity of items, and have an increased chance to drop higher rarity items.



    Bugs:

    • Fixed an issue in aura code, significantly reducing network traffic and improving the performance of the game in many scenarios.


    • Sanctuary aura no longer has a continuous mana cost attached to it.


    • Fixed an issue preventing sentinel skills (traps, hydras) from triggering certain procs, such as the on-shock proc on Signet of Griever.


    • Fixed an issue that was allowing sentinels to be killed. (Hopefully)


    • Fixed an issue causing Soulstorm on Malthael's Greater Soul to deal way more damage than intended.


    • Fixed an issue preventing flat life regeneration from showing on item tooltips, such as Dol Rune.


    • Fixed an issue that would cause the "Limited to: 1" and "Cannot be doubled" lines to show up on items when socketing a unique-equipped jewel into them.


    • Fixed an issue that would incorrectly flag a Crucible boss level as completed if a summoned minion is killed before the boss.


    • Fixed an issue that would cause a crash if there is still a dead player inside of a Challenge Zone when it is restarted.


    • Fixed a rare issue that could cause a crash when clicking UI controls.


    • Auras that "pulse" damage (such as Mang Song's Lesson's aura) can now deal critical strikes.
