The admin team decided to have a ladder reset, which caused the limited player base to not care about the rest of this ladder season. Their decision caused the player base to try to sell off their gear to try to get ready for the next ladder. However, since everyone is selling and no one is buying, it has caused the server to dry up and limited play is actually happening. If you can wait and really want to play, my advice is to wait till the ladder reset in March to play.
Sorry the admin teams decision ruined the short term and long term outlook for your playability.

There are people that play it, but it's not really that active during the day. It's busier at night.
