    Best Merc for a starter Shield Throw Barb with minimal gear for the follower?

    I'm wondering what the best starting merc for me will be since I don't have much, if any gear for my merc yet.

    Maybe the lightning act 3 mercenary since I think they do static.

    You could also try an act 3 cold mercenary just in the hopes of freezing surrounding enemies.
