merc took my gold

I just lost like 800 gold for buying an a3 merc.........
i was told all that was free.

bought it in act 3 hell. it was a level 91 cold merc.
i had like 1550 gold, bought the merc and noticed i went down to 950 when i looked back at forums. i just did my daily vote and bumped to 1010fg though.

it was either the purchase of him, or the resurection of my a1 merc while in a5. the only other thing i did in game was purchased a throwing spear from act 5 vendor. i have no clue which one did it, but kinda irritating.
