Any chance of getting some numbers on mark drop rates?

I'm at the point with my character where my only real upgrades are from mark bosses and given that nobody is really trading that stuff atm I figured I'd try to farm one... I'm a pretty persistant guy so figured it can't take that long.

400+ Baals (I'd imagine maybe ~100 of durial/diablo), 12 ubers, 35 omegas later and I have found 0. I also know a couple people who have done a similar amount of runs to me so we're looking at over 1000 boss kills, around 100 omegas (and that's all 3, so ure looking at 300) and around 40 ubers without a single mark drop.

Now, I'm not complaining about drop rates as ultimately that's your choice I just want to know like a ballpark figure of what the drop rates are. Have I and a cpl of my friends been insanely unlucky or are we really looking at over a 1/1000 drop chance from norms and 1/300+ chance from omega/uber bosses? If that's the case... Then I'll just give up on this hunt and do something else as those rates are simply absurd. Ofcourse if it is just a run of bad luck, and the drop rates are infact like 1/2 or even 1/3 of that and we've just been insanely unlucky i'll soldier through.. I just want a general idea :P.

Throw me a bone here Game, I'm at my wits end farming these and just need to know if they really are this absurdly rare or if I've just had a run of bad luck ^^.

Thanks very much for the answer mate, I guess we've just been INSANELY unlucky to not get a single mark in our combined kill count... What's new eh? I guess I'll keep at it then as with those odds it's not to bad. Oh wow, so your saying ubers/omegas are only like twice the drop chance? I figured they was way more.

i feel like alot of people are unlucky. im 1 for 2000 for mark of lies, my brain is mush from hours upon hours of teleporting and thats with 175 fcr and 1 shotting duriel. easy 10+ hours of duriel runs I should have 10 mark of lies by now. Now pits has been my luckiest area!! that and lich king has been way more productive. i just wish i could sleep without belials tomb giving me nightmares.

just drop my first mark of lies after 600 + duriel kills
already at 100 runs for the next mark whit no luck

also+200-300 diablo kills still no mark

they are really rare .

I really think marks should be a bit more common.
Or for the omega versions to drop way more often.
