Diablo II Unhandled Exception: Access_Violation (c000005)

I tried going back to the official servers today and for some reason the resolution was 640x480 instead of 800x600. Everytime I press the video options I get Diablo II Unhandled Exception: Access_Violation (c000005). Any help?

Notes:
I have different directories for Diablo 2 and Annihilus.
I run vid test from the original folder and everything went smoothly.

yah make sure you have -w after target in shortcut
make sure run as admin
also glide wrapper works globally; make sure vidtest is set to glide as well
if you have changed anything in glide make sure you have you dont have 32 bit rendering checked

I still have the same problem.

Run Annihilus Realm.reg in your annihilus folder, then try the public realms.
