Hey I would recommend making some kind of gold sale discount like 50 % or something, also event or give away to good players who help out others or are loyal to the game. Also i remember a funny idea, make a forum pole named "xmas present list" , people ask Santa ( in this case GM) for items, and on xmas day on certain time people would login and join channel to receive a present. Also it could be possible to make some kind of special charm named "xmas cookie" or something that would be similar to annihilus charm. It would helpout the new players
