    SotR Beta May 11th, 2024 Changelog:


    General:

    • Ethereal bonus now increases weapon damage / defense by 20%, down from 50%. However, the base weapon damage and defense of all items have been increased by 25%.


    • Mercenaries can now equip several new item types. Act 1 Mercs: Bows + Xbows. Act 2 Mercs: All types of Spears + Poleaxes and 1H Javelins. Act 3 Mercs: 1H Swords, Scepters, Wands, and Daggers. Act 5 Mercs: 1H / 2H Swords + Axes and 2H Mauls.


    • One with the Wind (Soul Grid) now always grants 25% missile / run speed. Grants 25% dodge chance if you haven't taken damage in the last 3 seconds, down from last 5 seconds. No longer increases damage taken if you've recently taken damage.


    • Agony (Soul Grid) now also grants 25% increased damage to enemies affected by an ailment.


    • Execution damage nodes in the red branch of the soul grid have had their values increased.



    Classes:

    Assassin

    • Charged Bolt Sentry now releases an additional bolt every 5 skill levels.


    • Tiger Strike damage per level and physical damage per charge has been increased at later levels.



    Necromancer

    • Blood Golem and Iron Golem have had their aura ranges increased by 50%.


    • Bone Spear is now also considered a spell and will benefit from +% spell damage and + to spell skills.



    Paladin

    • Zeal's base range has been increased, and weapon range now plays a larger role in its base range. Missile count has also been increased to prevent any potential gaps in the cleave.


    • Smite's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Divine Storm's damage per level has been increased.


    • Consecration's damage per level has been increased.



    Sorceress

    • Charged Bolt now maxes out at 20 bolts (40 when charged), down from 25/50.


    • Nova's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Fire Ball's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Fire Wall's Conflagration has had its Fire Ball damage synergy % increased to 8%, up from 5%.


    • Meteor's damage per level has been greatly increased at later levels, especially at 20+.


    • Hydra's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Flamestrike's damage synergy % has been increased to 20%, up from 15%.


    • Glacial Spike's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Frost Nova's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Blizzard's damage per level has been increased at later levels.


    • Frozen Orb's damage per level has been increased at later levels. Now benefits from both +% increased area of effect and missile speed.


    • Absolute Zero's damage synergy % has been increased to 20%, up from 15%.



    Items:

    • The Dark Wanderer now increases the damage nearby enemies take by 20%, down from 100%. This is due to this stat being additive with total damage reduction, making it extremely powerful, especially versus endgame bosses.


    • Highlord's Wrath now also grants increased cast speed. (Existing amulets will have to be rerolled / temporal'd)


    • Stormspike has been revamped to take the new Infuse Lightning / Thunderclap skills into consideration. Instead of attempting to give stats to nearby allies, Stormspike will now increase the chance to proc Thunderclap with Infuse Lightning by 15%. The Lightning proc now also properly scales with your Infuse Lightning skill level.


    • Mang Song's Lesson has had several stats increased, now grants 1-3% to all maximum resistances, and its pulsing aura hit every 8 frames; down from every 12 frames. (Existing staves will have to be rerolled / temporal'd to receive the new stats, but the aura change will be retroactive)


    • Ort Rune can now drop a little earlier in normal difficulty, and has a slightly higher chance to drop. This should help people come across a couple of Orts before the Mephisto fight.


    • Execution damage values have been increased from most sources, such as magic / rare affixes and warpeds.



    Monsters:

    • Duriel's Furnace of Pain skill has had its light radius increased, so it's a little easier to see when attempting to dodge it.


    • Radament's level in normal is now 19, preventing him from dropping level 20 requirement items.


    • Abyss Knight's poison missile now deals much less damage.


    • Crazed Archer now deals much less base physical damage, and her Buckshot skill level has been lowered.


    • Guts' Blood Cyclone now deals much less damage.


    • Trag'Oul, Deathspeaker, and Queen of Desecration's Poison Maelstrom now deals much less damage.


    • The ailment chance threshold has been further adjusted for most endgame bosses, making it a little easier to inflict ailments to them.



    Areas:

    • Tier 5 Riftstones now have a higher chance of dropping Greater Riftstones, and their overall quantity of items dropped has been increased.



    Bugs:

    • Fixed an issue that was causing Fire Golem's melee fire damage to double dip from +% elemental damage.


    • Fixed an issue allowing users to unequip / reequip Death's Fathom quickly to spam Orbs of Winter spawns.


    • Fixed an issue that was displaying decreased values as a double negative on certain items.


    • Fixed an issue causing certain stats to not display correctly when holding shift to see value ranges, such as + to class skills and colored jewel bonuses (Shako, Nephalem's Birthright).


    • Potentially fixed an issue with gold not displaying in-game for those that have it. UPDATE: Nope! still not working.
