Merc outfit guide?

I'm having trouble deciding how to gear my mercs, I need a merc for a shield throw barb, and a poison necro.

basically what merc to choose for each,
and what items to build on each merc,

Maybe some one could make a nice guide for this topic on the Wiki. I would be willing to do it, I just need to know the correct info to put it in lol

Personally, I like using an act 3 lightning merc for his ranged attacks and static. Give him gear that will give you a might aura, like the BK Mythic sword. Other than that, just make sure he has a good shield like corrupt SS or bulwark, whatever one you're not using, and a decent armor that will boost your res and defenses for survivability. I prefer to use corrupt ss for throwing and give him bulwark for the aura.
