Nec question

Can necros do pleague lands? And if yes what build ?

I've been sporting the maelstrom but not really able to handle it to well. Is there another build that is viable?

Odium
Lich helm
String of ears
Soj
Bulkatos
Pleague bringer
Myrms
Trang gloves.
2+ nec amu and rez.

Any tips?

With some golems and maelstrom it should be doable. Remember that maelstrom is based on weapondamage, thus giving the possibility to go with crushing blow and using amplify damage, instead of focussing on the posion part of the skill

Alternatively, im sure a summoner with amp curse can do it well. Maybe even a boner nec with those new amplify magic aura gauntlets from tyrael

Oh PS: conviction aura lowers also posion resist on annihilus. Maybe you can affort a Infinity for your merc or a malevolent shield for yourself/a merc? I guess this could help increasing the damage your posion does alot
