frenzy mechanics

Hey all,

I used to play frenzy a ton on normal bnet. I just cant remember some of the mechanics now. For example, does each individual weapon have different crushing blow and deadly strike or do they add up. In other words, to use the bk set, do I need to put bers in one weapon to make up for the lack of cb and dragonslayer jewels in the other to make up for the lack of deadly strike?
