Stuck at checking versions... keeps loading..nothing happens

Topic Says it all.

havent been able to play diablo for 1 weak now
keeps getting stuck at the keeps loading screen.
Updating doesnt help
Killing the firewall doesnt help
Re installing everything doesnt help.

this happened from 1 moment to another.

if u have a solution plz respond in simple language.
I dont know shit about Computers

After you click on the re-update button and the launcher downloads the patch, then closes itself, did you open the install file window for the patch? I know that when I have updated on my Windows 7 machine, the install window doesn't automatically pop up after the Annihilus launcher downloads the file and closes. I had to click on the soulstone looking icon on my taskbar at the bottom of the screen and then follow through with the install process. It already has the correct location chosen for installation when you open this window. Just click the install button
