Annihilus Server Boss Guide

Hello Everyone! Here is a list with some basic information about every boss on this server. Feel free to add any missing information as I do not have the time or the means to do all of this myself.

Azatoth

Location:

Next to the corpse of the cow king in Ryleh.

Attributes:

Spawns with one or two random immunities

Spells:

Death Spear - an aoe physical damage spell also found on the item Gae Bolg. (include link to Gae Bolg in the future)

Spawns Guardians of Ryleh - unique monsters that cast high-level blessed hammers and are very difficult to kill while Azatoth is still alive.

Unknown curse - He has a chance when struck to cast a curse that turns you into a chicken or some other indeterminate small animal. When cursed, you are unable to cast spells. You can still perform melee auto attacks though.

Unique Drops:

Cache of Ryleh - cube with a key of the old ones from Hadriel to open. It gives a random rune, enchantment and divine gem. Drop rate should be about 1/3 IIRC.

Azmodan

Location:
Heart of Sin - currently found by cubing a Mark of Sin at Diablo's Star in Act 4. Note that this won't work if you have killed Diablo or any of the 3 bosses you kill to get to him.

Attributes:immune to all elements but easily pierced

Spells:

corpse rain - a rain of corpses that does a ton of physical damage if you get hit. Melees GTFO if he casts this.

Spawn Demon Cavern - He periodically spawns a cave the spawns additional minions of his. These can be killed.

Sin Pool - an expanding pool of fire that will spawn near him

Bahamut
Location:
Tomb of Guardians, found in the right side portal on the Kurast Causeway in act 3

Attributes:
Immune to all but very piercable. You must break through his orb before you can face him. This requires a lot of dps or you need to get rid of any mercs or other summons. If you don't have much dps, only attack when the orb isn't glowing. If you hit it when it is glowing, it will heal.

Spells:

Summon Bahamut - a flamethrower of true damage, avoid at all costs

Unique Drops:
Guardian Force - 1:50ish

Terra Flare - 1:250ish - used to create the heart of omega

Divine Gem - 1:11

Orb of Potential - 1:10ish

Belial
Location:
Realm of Lies - reached by cubing a mark of lies at the summoners platform in the Chaos Sanctuary A2.

Attributes:
immune to all but very piercable

Spells:
Insect Swarm - A Swarm of Insects that spawn around him that does a lot of damage.

Butcher
Location
The Time Rift in the River of Flame - See the guide here on how to get there

Attributes

Charge - Paladin spell. It hurts
Either Berserk or Feral Rage - I can't tell which one it is. In any case, his autos will hurt.

Chimera
Location:
Crucible Level 4

Attributes:

Hyrda - The sorc spell
Fireballs - Shoots several fireballs in a line.
Fire Circle - Creates a fire wall in a circle around him.

Cow Queen
Location:
The Cow Kingdom - Access by cubing one of each of the 5 cow organs next to the corpse of the cow king in Ryleh.

Attributes:
Has two random immunities IIRC

Spells:
Has an aura that turns you into a cow. You can only melee autoattack when that happens.

Unique Drops:
Cow Set Pieces - Note that this wiki post is out of date. 25% xp gain has been replaced with 40 all element pierce.

Cthulhu
Location:
Cthulhu's Lair - See how to get there here.

Attributes:
Toughest Pre-6.0 Boss other than Bahamut. Immune to everything. You will likely need help to kill him unless you know how to bug him properly with a zon.

Spells:
Rain of Lightning - A Pillar of lightning that does a TON of what I think is light damage.
Spawn Minions - Spawns a minion that does a lot of damage.
Some Sort of Magic Rain - IIRC it does magic damage.

Whenever you kill Cthulu, you will get one of the 7 items listed above with a chance at an effect stone and/or one of the drops from Sss'haa, Othuyeg, Mappo, or Kaalut.

Ctogga
Location
Ctogga is found in a special area in Dreamlands that you get to by walking off the edge of the map. It's hard to explain and takes a few tries to get the hang of. Ask a veteran if you need help.

Attributes
Try and kill as many of her minions before you take her on. They do do a lot of damage.

Spells
Psionic Storm - Like the high templar spell from starcraft. I think it does lightning damage.
Quill Storm - A bunch of rapidfired quills shoot out you and do a ton of physical damage.

Deckard Cain
Location:
Crucible Level 12

Attributes:
Immune to all but very pierceable.

Spells:
Black Hole - A storm that does a lot of physical damage over time.
Lorenado - A tornado that does poison damage IIRC

Diablo - Time Rift
Location: The Time Rift in the River of Flame - See the guide here on how to get there.

Attributes:

Spells:
Flame Horizon - Shoots a bunch of small fireballs at you.

Flame Horizon - 1:several hundred at least

Diablos
Location:
Tomb of Guardians, found in the right side portal on the Kurast Causeway in act 3

Attributes:
immune to magic and poison

Spells:
Black Hole - An aoe physical spell that does a lot of damage and lasts for about 5 seconds
Unknown physical spell - A teal colored spell that travels once around him in a circle. I think it does physical damage. It's not as dangerous as black hole.
Chance to cast teleport when struck

Unique Drops:
Dark Messenger - 1:50ish
Bronze Skull - 1:250ish - used to create heart of omega weapon
Divine Gem - 1:11
Orb of Potential - 1:10ish

Strategy:
Just stay out of the black hole and you should be fine.

Griever
Location:
Edea's Orphanage - reached via the lefthand portal on the Kurast causeway in act 3

Attributes:
immune to all, but very piercable

Spells:
Pulsar beam - throws a shuriken that turns into a huge aoe lightning attack on striking

Unique Drops:
Signet of the Griever - 1:50ish
Gold Skull - 1:250ish - used to create heart of omega weapon
Divine Gem - 1:11
Orb of Potential - 1:10ish

Strategy:
Dodge the pulsar beam shurikens or have very high light resist

Ifrit
Location:
Tomb of Guardians, found in the right side portal on the Kurast Causeway in act 3

Attributes:
immune to physical and fire but pierceable in both instances

Spells:
Flamestrike - A pillar of fire, also found on the sorceress prime charm
Seismic Leap - Barb Spell
Mad Rush - A physical damage teleport/charge type skill similar to the Druid pounce skill

Unique Drops:
Mad Rush - 1:50ish
Red Skull - 1:250ish

Kaalut
Location:
Dreamlands

Attributes:
immune to poison, fire and cold (may be poison + two random immunities), pestilence aura (like holy fire/shock/freeze except poison)

Spells:
Fissure - Druid spell
Acid Rain - a high damaging rain of poison
Inject acid - A spell that does 8000 true damage to you over 3 seconds and lowers your physical resist by 50%. It is no longer a curse. So curse immunity will not save you.

Location:
The Frozen Throne - Found by killing Stitches in the Plaguelands by Blood Raven in Cold Plains Act 1.

Attributes:
cold immune, immune to curses, high level holy freeze aura

Summon Sindragosa - a very powerful cold damage spell

Malthael
Location:
You cube the black soulstone in the worldstone area with the three treasure chests after you've killed Diablo, Baal, and Meph. Reach the special area by cubing one of each of the five worldstone fragments. There is a 50% chance you will get a portal to the heart of sanctuary and a 50% chance to get the treasure chest area. So it may take a few tries.

Attributes:
I've never fought him. I'd assume he is immune to everything.

Spells:
Reapers Mist - A bunch of small clouds that deal magic damage
He heals for a significant amount every 5 seconds when below 50% life.
He gains increasing physical and magic resist as he loses health.

Mappo no Ryujin
Location:
Dreamlands

Attributes:
200 Fire resist, 200 physical resist, 200 magic resist, poison, cold, and light resist is in the low 100s. So he's immune to all. But the poison, cold, and light immunities are easy to break.

Spells:
Volcano - Druid spell, rarely used when in melee combat
Maelstrom that does magic damage - Rarely used when in melee combat

Mechanized Destroyer
Location:
The Stony Tomb Level 2 by the Treasure Chest in Act 2, rocky waste outside town

Attributes:
immune to everything, but in the low 100's, so anything with pierce can kill him

Spells:
Rain of Boulders - Physical damage aoe spell
Berserk - Barbarian spell

Unique Drops:
Short Circlet - 1:20-40
Divine Gem - 1:11

Strategy:
Stay out of melee with him.

Omega Weapon

Attributes:
Immune to cold, fire, lightning, poison and magic, very vulnerable to physical damage, very strong vs elemental damage.

Chance to Cast nova when struck - sorc spell
Big light nova - a higher damage and larger version of the nova spell
Some sort of large skull that moves like blessed hammer - rarely cast, but very high damage, damage type unknown

Reziarfg
Location:
Cube the 5 crystals you get from the worldstone bosses (Worldstone Andariel, Duriel, Meph, Diablo, Baal) to open a portal to Reziarfg.
Attributes:
Spawns with three random immunities IIRC. Kill the pillars in the 4 corners of the map to weaken him significantly.

Spells:
Fires some sort of lightning hose.
Spawns various monsters from Act 5 red portals periodically.
There are a few others I don't remember.

Unique Drops:
Prime Charm He will drop one of these per kill.
Book of the Abyss - 1:250 IIRC

Santa
Location:
The North Pole - Around Christmas there will be a portal to it in Act 1.

Attributes:

Spells:
Snowball Attack - Fires a wave of snowballs that do a lot of cold damage and knock you back.

Location:

Squall
Location:
Edea's Orphanage - reached via the lefthand portal on the Kurast causeway in act 3

Attributes:
Killing him once summons his second form. His second form is immune to everything but is easily pierced.

Spells:
Molten Boulder - Druid spell used by his first form
Lightning Storm - Used by his first form
Ice boltish spell - Used by his first form
Limit Break - His teleport spell used in his second form that teleports him and either you or one of your summons somewhere and damages whoever teleports with him.

Unique Drops:
Squall's Necklace - 1:50ish
Silver Skull - 1:250ish - used in heart of omega weapon
Divine Gem - 1:11

Sss'haa

Location:
Dreamlands

Attributes:
immune to poison, has an aura that lowers your physical resist

Spells:
mind blast - sin spell
Eviscerate - A physical damage spell that throws out 3 bolts that will one shot most characters. Rarely uses in melee

Stitches
Location:
Plaguelands in the top right corner of the area

Poison maelstrom - Necromancer spell

Swamp King
Location:
The Swampy Pit Level 3 - The entrance is next to the flayer jungle waypoint in act 3.

Attributes:
cold, light, poison immune, spectral hit, cold enchanted, light enchanted

Spells:
Frozen Orb - Sorc spell
Thunderstorm - Sorc spell
Inject Acid - Does 8000 true damage over 3 seconds. It is no longer a curse. So curse immunity will not save you if you get hit with it. The normal version rarely casts this.

Trag Oul
Location:
To get to his realm, cube the mark of trag oul while wearing the trag oul set (necro) in the temple by the alter in the cathedral (nearest waypoint is inner cloister) in Act 1.

Attributes:
Transforms when you kill his initial form into a much stronger boss.

Spells:
Miasma - creates a pool underneath you that does poison damage while you stand in it and slows you for a few seconds after.

Worldstone Andariel

Location:

Location:

A frozen orb like cold spell

  4. Since I can't edit this for some reason, some updates are below.

    Mark/puzzle Bosses - So all the old mark bosses (Azmodan, Belial, Baal, Tyrael, Trag Oul, Malthael) are now trial bosses. Go to town in Act 4 and enter the red portal. Once per day, you will get three attempts to kill one of the six bosses listed above. The boss spawn is random. Each boss has a 1:25 chance of dropping one of their special items. You can get more chances by obtaining a token of trials from Hadriel or as a drop from Ultima.

    Uber Duriel - berserk, (pretty sure) he uses this and casts amp damage,
    also has some sort of effect where he gets a symbol over his head - if you're meleeing him when this happens, you probably will die
    rain of boulders - physical damage

    Uber Andariel - casts acid rain, has pestilence (poison) aura - does a ton of damage

    Uber Baal - casts the same black cloud as the Skeleton King in time rift - damage type unknown - I think its poison, also casts crucify - an animated fire damage attack

    Uber Mephisto - casts the same lightning circle as Malthael and also the same frozen orb style cold spell that Malthael and the Twins from the Crucible cast.

    Uber Diablo - casts flamestrike and the same stunning waves of fire that time rift Diablo casts.

    Diablos - circle spell does magic damage, not physical

    Diablo (Time Rift) - The drop rate on Diablo's Rebirth and Neo Anni should be 1:20, not 1:10.

    Tyrael - also casts searing light

  5. Griever cannot use his pulsar ability without having white orbs swirling around him and diablos cannot use his purple vortex ability without having green orbs swirling around him. For griever if you see the white orbs, make some distance and then try to dodge the blade. If the blade doesn't hit something it wont "explode" into that huge lighting aoe. for diablos if you see the green orbs if i'm not mistaken the orb in the purple vortex doesn't actually hurt you (the center), it's the spinning part of it that hurts, so if you just stay still in the center you should be fine. Note though his dark hole ability is the exact opposite, the closer you are to center the more hits you receive. There's a bit of a sound warning for dark hole though, i think it's the sound of resist lighting activation (?) either way after that sound is played, it takes about 1 second for the dark hole to activate truly so if you hear that stay mobile.

  6. Further update to this,

    Skull of the Unclean, Short Circlet, Oculus Ring, Buster Sword, and Alkor's shrunken head have new drop rules.

    They drop from infernal chests dropped by mobs in inferno areas. These areas are the Stony Tomb in Act 2, (cave in area outside town) The Swampy Pit in Act 3, (flayer jungle wp) The Icy Cellar in Act 5, (cave in ancients way) and the Act 5 red portals. (frigid highlands, arreat plateau, frozen tundra) Bosses within these areas (mechanized destroyer, swamp king, Spawn of Ifrit) have a higher chance of dropping these chests.
  7. alcors will drop by itself and not in a chest. I have found 2 by killing spawn of Ifrit
  8. I finally found one of these Infernal chests. It has only a single item in it. Why? I see no reason to put a single item in a chest unless there would be bonus pieces in the chest. Just have the item drop
